As part of our TrailGuard rollout, we're in early discussions with forest and tourism safety stakeholders in Karnataka to pilot offline checkpoint tracking along the Bandipur–Chikmagalur–Coorg corridor — one of the most-travelled but least-connected ghat and forest routes in the region.
The pilot focuses on three things: downloadable offline trail maps with verified checkpoints, automatic route-deviation alerts when a trekker strays from the approved path, and SOS escalation that reaches both an emergency contact and the nearest help point — even without a live network connection.
